Bengal Commercial Bank signed an agreement with Bengal Islami Life Insurance to provide enhanced protection to the Bank’s credit cardholders through “Credit Shield” facility. Under this agreement, the Credit Shield facility will ensure the financial security of Bengal Credit Cardholders and their families to cover insurance protection against events like death, disability or critical illness.

The agreement was signed on Monday, 7 September 2026, at the Head Office of Bengal Commercial Bank in Gulshan, Dhaka. K. M. Awlad Hossain, Managing Director of Bengal Commercial Bank and M. M. Monirul Alam, Managing Director & CEO of Bengal Islami Life Insurance, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

The signing ceremony was attended by Md. Jashim Uddin, Chairman of Bengal Commercial Bank. He said, “Bengal Commercial Bank has always prioritized specialty in customer service. Speaking at the event, K. M. Awlad Hossain, Managing Director of the Bank said, “We aim to protect our customers from unforeseen financial risks and ensure responsible banking through Credit Shield.”

Md. Amin Helali, Vice Chairman of Bengal Islami Life Insurance was also present at the ceremony along with High Officials from both organizations.
