As a PD (Primary Dealer) BGCB actively participate in the primary auction and secondary trading of fixed income instruments issued by the Government & Bangladesh Bank. The Bank also invests other fixed income securities available in the market considering higher returns with minimum risk. Considering bank’s liquidity condition, regulatory requirement, asset-liability position BGCB deals with the following fixed income products in the market:

• Treasury bills (91 days, 182 days, 364 days)
• Treasury bonds (2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years)
• Bangladesh Bank bills
• Other investments (Zero coupon bonds, Coupon bearing bonds, Sub-ordinated bonds, Preference share)
