Bengal Commercial Bank has started its banking operations at Mohakhali in Dhaka with reliable and modern banking services. The Bank inaugurated its 37th branch at Civil Engineers Bhaban, 69 Mohakhali C/A, Bir Uttam AK Khandakar Road, Dhaka.

Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank inaugurated the Branch on Thursday, 20 August 2026. Speaking on the occasion he said, “SMEs are the key driving force of Bangladesh’s economy. Bengal Commercial Bank remains committed to empowering SME entrepreneurs through accessible banking services, enabling them to expand their businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute further to the nation’s economic development.” Mr. Engr. Atiqur Rahman, Chairman of Standard Group; Mr. Md. Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Director of the Bank and Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, Head of Banking of Nitol Motors Ltd. attended the program as the special guests.

Mr. K. M. Awlad Hossain, Managing Director of the Bank presided over the inaugural ceremony. In his speech he said, Bengal Commercial Bank is committed to ensuring modern, reliable and customer-friendly banking services. This bank is moving forward with focus on strong risk management, good governance, capital adequacy and digital transformation, he added.

Among others Mr. Nasim Sekander, AMD & CBO and Mr. Md. Humayun Kabir, FCS, DMD and Company Secretary of the Bank were also present on the occasion along with other senior officials, valued customers, well-wishers, local dignitaries and prominent business personalities. It is noteworthy that Bengal Commercial Bank is continuing its branch and sub-branch expansion across the country.
