K. M. Awlad Hossain has been appointed as the Managing Director of Bengal Commercial Bank with effect from 1 July 2026. Earlier, he served as the Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of the Bank. He joined Bengal Commercial Bank in 2021 as Deputy Managing Director and CBO. He has been playing a key role in achieving the business goals of Bengal Commercial Bank since its inception.

Before joining Bengal Commercial Bank, K. M. Awlad Hossain served as the Deputy Managing Director of Dutch Bangla Bank. During his 17 years tenure with the said Bank he held several key leadership positions including Chief Business Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Branch Business and Branch Head. K. M. Awlad Hossain started his career as a senior officer in Agrani Bank.

Over 33 years experience of his banking career, he gained knowledge about branch banking, foreign trade, corporate banking, business planning and strategic plan implementation for centralized operations while working in various banks.

He has achieved Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from Jahangirnagar University and an MBA from North South University.
